In 2025, Pro-Trump Congressman Rob Bresnahan was one of the busiest stock traders in Congress despite his announced opposition to members trading individual stocks. He was particularly active in April, around the time the stock market was manipulated by President Trump’s erratic tariff policy. Then in May, Bresnahan sold stock in Medicaid providers just before voting to cut the program by nearly a trillion dollars. The tax-rate discount he enjoyed on any capital gains from his trading predates the big Republican budget bill and Bresnahan’s service in Congress.

On May 15, Bresnahan sold clean energy stocks and bought shares in fossil fuel giants–all within a narrow window between the release of the House reconciliation bill language (May 11, 2025) and its passage on May 22, 2025. Many of these trades directly aligned with sectors (energy/environment/industrial and healthcare) most impacted by the legislation Bresnahan helped pass.

In July 2025 the announcement of the $25 billion investment was made at the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit hosted by Senator Dave McCormick (PA) at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. The League of Conservation Voters rated Congressman Rob Bresnahan at 9% for pro-environmental votes.

Why does Rob Bresnahan own municipal stock from Parkland School District in South Whitehall Township in Lehigh County? There is a dirty data center planned to be built across the street from Parkland High School. This is the same money game that Senator Dave McCormick does. I'm fighting that dirty data center near my home. This makes me very angry.

Congressman Rob Bresnahan's constituents aren't happy about the data center in their neighborhood but he doesn't care. He's in office for his own financial gain. Follow the money and you will find the motive for his votes.
